Meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m.

- Marice Ivey proposed removing MRMT 2433 from the Health Information Technology AAS degree. A motion was made by Paul Arrigo and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 357)
- Marice Ivey proposed changing HITT 1355 from 3 credit hours to 2 credit hours. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 358)
- Marice Ivey proposed removing ITSC 1309 and ESOL 310 from the prerequisite for MRMT 1307. A motion was made by Paul Arrigo and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 361)
- Marice Ivey proposed reducing semester credit hours to 60 and changing the sequence order of courses within semesters to the AAS degree in Health Information Technology. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 362)
- Sandra Nordhaus proposed changing the requisites for GAME 1304 and Game 2325 to read:
Prerequisite: GAME 1306, GAME 1302. A motion was made by Karen Guthmiller and seconded by Charlotte Mueller. Motion carried. (Req. # 365,366)
- Layton Childress presented for Jim Richardson. Layton Childress proposed changing the requisites for ELPT 1455 and ELPT 1441 to read: Prerequisite: ELPT 1420; Pre-/Co-requisite: READ 300 or equivalent. A motion was made by Rod Hellyer and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 367,368)
- Donnetta Suchon made an announcement about password changes effective on June 23, 2014. The degree audits were up and running.
Donnetta Suchon made a motion to change the Last Drop Day for students from the 60% point in the term back to 75%. This will allow more time for interventions and a chance for students to be persistent and successful. Joseph Ganakos seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Donnetta Suchon discussed holding a Fish Camp at Lee College. Fish Camp is a term commonly used to introduce new students to campus. This would allow students the opportunity to meet with instructors and learn more about specific classes and expectations. Donnetta Suchon proposed that time be set aside during professional development week to have a Fish Camp – possibly a half day or mid-afternoon to early evening. Discussion followed.
- Joseph Ganakos proposed adding the following new forensics courses to the catalog: SPCH 1144, SPCH 1145, SPCH 2144 and SPCH 2145. A motion was made by Paul Arrigo and seconded by Charlotte Mueller. Motion carried. (Req. # 369,370,371,372)
- Chuck Ganze proposed removing TECM 1349 from the AAS degree in Computer and Network Maintenance Technology and GISC 1311 from the AAS degree in Computer and Graphics Technology. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Rod Hellyer. Motion carried. (Req. #373,374)
- Chuck Ganze proposed moving SPCH communication area option from semester 4 to semester 1 in the AAS degree in Computer and Graphics Technology. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Paul Arrigo. Motion carried. (Req. # 375)
- Portia Hopkins presented for Cassandra Cookson. Portia Hopkins proposed adding a new course HIST 2389. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 376)
- Rod Hellyer proposed adding specific electives to the Welding Inspection Technology Certificate program: ENGL 2311, ITSC 1309, WLDG 1291, WLDG 1312 and WLDG 1428. Rod Hellyer proposed removing WLDG 1323 and WLDG 1291 from the AAS degree in Welding Technology. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. 377,378)
- Sandra Nordhaus proposed changes to the AAS degree in Game Development Specialist (see Maintenance Request No. 384). A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Paul Arrigo. Motion carried.
- Sandra Nordhaus proposed removing MATH 1324 and the Elective from the third semester of the AAS degree in Game Development Specialist. A motion was made by Karen Guthmiller and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. #398,399)
- Sandra Nordhaus proposed replacing GAME 1336 with GAME 2325 to the Certificate of Completion in Game Specialist. A motion was made by Charlotte Mueller and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 394)
- Sandra Nordhaus proposed removing ARTV 1341 and GAME 2344 from the AAS degree in Game Development Specialist. A motion was made by Charlotte Mueller and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 395,396)
- Rod Hellyer proposed changing the third semester elective from 3 credit hours to 4 credit hours in the Pipefitting Technology degree. Rod Hellyer proposed removing BMGT 1307 from the Pipefitting Technology degree. A motion was made by Karen Guthmiller and seconded by Paul Arrigo. Motion carried. (Req. # 400,401)
- Rod Hellyer proposed removing MCHN 1343 and MCHN 2412 from the AAS Industrial Systems Technician degree. Rod Hellyer proposed changing MCHN 1416 to MCHN 1316. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Howard Bushart. Motion carried. (Req. # 402,403,404)
- Teresa Landers proposed updating the requisites for CDEC 1313, CDEC 1319, CDEC 1323, CDEC 1356, CDEC 1359, CDEC 2307, CDEC 2326 and CDEC 2328 to read: Pre-/Co-requisite: ENRD 401 or equivalent. A motion was made by Joseph Ganakos and seconded by Paul Arrigo. Motion carried. (Req. # 405,406,407,408,409,410,411,412)
- Jeff Thies proposed the revised Core 14 Curriculum that was presented to Coordinating Board. Seconded by Michael Gos. Motion carried.
- Open Forum:
Paul Allen announced the Texas Correctional Education Conference will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
