New research award from the Dual Enrollment Research Fund
The Dual Enrollment Research Fund has announced that it has funded six new research projects exploring topics such as dual enrollment equity, teacher credentialing, policy, and Career Technical Education (CTE). The total award of $1 million in research funding to support these six projects follows a national competition that received 70 applications totaling $11 million in requests.
Pathways from Prison to Post-secondary Education Program funded by a grant from the Greater Texas Foundation
BAYTOWN, TX, Jan. 25, 2024 — The Lee College Foundation has received a $750,000 grant from the Greater Texas Foundation and Trellis Foundation to launch a new program to help incarcerated students complete their college degrees and certificates once they are released from prison.
The “Pathways from Prison to Post-secondary Education” project offers individuals leaving the justice system a chance to pursue educational opportunities at the college’s Baytown campus that will lead to living-wage jobs.
