(0:00 - 0:11) Say hello to everybody. We're glad everybody's back for our regular meeting of the Lake College Board of Regents. The first meeting, we have two meetings for tonight. (0:11 - 0:27) The first on the agenda is the public hearing, which is open to the public for comments on the proposed tax abatement. And I need to ask if we have anyone that's signed up to speak. No one has signed up. (0:27 - 0:34) OK. All right. Sit around, and we have 13 minutes. (0:35 - 0:36) OK. Yes. Great. (0:36 - 0:51) The time. Hi, how are you? Adjourn, and then re-adjourn? We'll adjourn, I think, yeah, at 6 or whatever. We'll adjourn and re-adjourn. (0:51 - 1:02) I think we're going to have two simple meetings, so I think we're going to adjourn right now, because we've got to wait just in case if someone wants to. But we do have adjourn before we start the next one, right? Gotcha. Before we adjourn, I'm going to the bathroom. (1:02 - 1:30) OK. I was worried when he was back in that environment that it might be a little more crystal. Yes, it was, yeah. (1:31 - 1:39) You know, he hadn't told me that yet. I'm asking. So do you have any other plans? Like, are you going to go see? I thought about going out, but I'm not going. (1:39 - 1:42) I'm not picking up. OK, that's right, you're going to stay in the spring. You told me that. (1:42 - 1:49) Yeah, I just, I've been there a few times, and in the conference and stuff, and I'm just thinking. Two minutes, wake up. Ill in it for some reason. (1:49 - 1:59) Two minutes, I don't want to just go to bed and wake you up. I know, and sometimes your feelings work to be right. Right, I'm not going to this one. (1:59 - 2:06) It's kind of people's thing. If they sleep less than 30 minutes, it's a long time away. What, you've identified a problem? Yes. (2:06 - 2:14) It's the wrong solution. And so this really, you know, coming here, I think, may have a big difference. He's still on campus. (2:14 - 2:20) Susan, can I have Susan come in? Staff members, she's a professional counselor. No, I cannot make it. And he's still there. (2:20 - 2:38) He's doing this for the rest of his life. I know he may not make it, but he may be keeping it for this one. I think there needed to be some separation with his family, you know? And their involvement with him. (2:38 - 2:41) Yeah, that's shit, girl. You got this. Thank you, boy. (2:42 - 2:46) Thank you. Let me eat, too. You got this. (2:47 - 2:58) I want you to come back, but he's getting a rib. I think, uh, he may already have. I thought he was doing something up during the Olympics. (3:00 - 10:43) So I haven't talked to him in a while. Brian Fontenot. I don't. (10:43 - 10:47) I got everybody down. I could live down there for a couple weeks. We have stuff to do. (10:47 - 10:54) I usually take some of it, but I leave the stuff there, just like in case. One time, I forgot my hair. Just the way that it was doing back then. (10:54 - 10:59) Yeah, I know. Yeah, I know. But last week, we had another one. (11:00 - 11:11) So our, we have this gorgeous tree. It's so pretty. And we have a little boat slip, and then a dock, and then a dock, and another boat slip. (11:12 - 11:18) And that belongs to our neighbors. But our docks just conjoin. There's a line. (11:19 - 11:24) You know, your side and mine. So anyway, they, we've always said, use them. Use furniture, whatever. (11:25 - 11:35) It's yours. And they've said the same thing. As a courtesy, they called and said, we're giving a gender revealing for our daughter on Saturday. (11:35 - 11:46) So can we use the dock? I was like, you know you can. You don't have to ask. And then I was telling Chris, we haven't pressure sprayed that sucker since the water came up and sat on it. (11:47 - 11:50) And there's debris. Oh, by the way. Oh, yes, by the way. (11:51 - 11:58) So Friday, we decided to get down there. Once we got in there, we realized. We stopped the furniture stores on the way up there in Houston. (11:59 - 12:05) And we got up really early Saturday morning to start working. For half a day. We got it all done. (12:06 - 12:10) It gets the road. It gets the road. Yeah, well. (12:10 - 12:15) I mean, we were just there anyway. But it gave us a motive. Discovery. (12:16 - 12:20) It's working. It's working. And I told Chris when we got home last night, we could ride it Sunday. (12:21 - 12:26) We don't really relax. Except in the dead of winter. When there's nothing to do. (12:26 - 12:28) Yeah. It's hard. But you just go home. (12:28 - 12:33) It's hard to do anything they want. We're staying until Monday morning. Let's be at a church. (12:33 - 12:37) And they know that. I know. But you find a church. (12:37 - 12:41) And you get the whole. It just sets the pace. And you can't go on weekends. (12:42 - 12:46) Yeah, I know. Unless you leave this Wednesday. And come back Saturday night. (12:46 - 12:53) In a year, when Chris quits working, we can go whenever we want to. I guess I could go. But then we have parking. (12:55 - 13:00) That's just it. I think our place is close enough. It's just an hour and 10 minutes. (13:02 - 13:06) Hey, Gilbert. You got those conversations on the screen. You and. (13:07 - 13:11) Justin. OK. We're just talking about pressure washing. (13:11 - 13:15) Yeah. I can tell. Oh, it's picking up the conversation. (13:15 - 13:18) I'm like, nothing secret. Just thought I'd tell you. OK. (13:19 - 13:23) Thank you. It is 6 o'clock now. We're ready. (13:25 - 13:26) So just a little bit.
