ATC Open Computer Lab: ATC, Room 208

The Lee College open computer lab is available to all enrolled Lee College students. The lab environment is quiet with 24-networked computers offering most campus software, printing, scanning, email, and login support. The open lab is located in the Advanced Technology Center, room 208. Tutors are available to help.

Lab Hours

  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Mon.–Thu.
  • 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Fri.
  • Closed weekends and Holidays

Open Lab Policy

  • You must be a currently enrolled student to use the open lab; a myLC account will be required to log in
  • No food or drinks allowed
  • No cell phones or pagers
  • Limited printing is 6 copies per student a day; otherwise, students can provide their own of paper
  • Saving is allowed to flash drive only
  • No external devices will be allowed to connect to the Lee College network
  • First come, first served. No reserving computers.
  • WiFi area for laptops and charging stations

Enforcement

  • Failure to adhere to the Information Technology and Telecommunications Policy could result in suspension of usage privileges. Any internet or network abuse will be reported to the Dean of Administrative Services and will result in suspension of computer privileges

Open Computer Lab Mission Statement

The Lee College Instructional Open Computer Lab provides computer access and support to all college students, faculty members, and staff members. The lab also provides access to up-to-date computing resources and services.

Allied Health Learning Resource Center: MHC E04

Mon.-Thu.: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Fri.: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

The AH Skills and Learning Resource Center (LRC) give Allied Health students an extended study area and the simulation resources to develop necessary skills. Research material and equipment include computers for word processing, Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI), and CD-ROM training tools. Viewing equipment for VCRs is also available in the LRC. Books and periodicals may be found in the Lee College Library. The LRC, in the McNulty-Haddick Complex, Room E04, has the hours of operation posted outside the door. These hours are posted each semester. Assistants are available to distribute material and instruct and help the students in the use of equipment.

Art and Architecture Computer Lab: MHC W09

Equipped with 20 workstations with ArchiCAD, MicroStation 2004 and Photoshop installed.

Who may use the lab: Art and Architecture students.

Art and Architecture Studio: MHC W11

Equipped with drawing and drafting tables as well as printmaking and mounting supplies.

Who may use the lab: Art and Architecture students.

Art Studio: MHC W13

Equipped with drawing and drafting tables as well as printmaking and mounting supplies.

Who may use the lab: Currently enrolled art students.

Ceramics/Sculpture Studio: MHC W28

The Ceramics lab is equipped with clay mixers, and both electric and gas kilns.

Who may use the lab: Currently enrolled art students.

Computer Information Systems Labs: ATC 235, 237

Hours posted on each door. Lab assistants are available during open lab hours. Microsoft Office 2007 Lab available to Computer Information Systems/Computer Science students only. Open lab ATC 208 will be available for all other students.

Computer Science Labs: ATC 207, 209

Hours posted on each door. Lab assistants are available during open lab hours. Microsoft Office 2007 Lab available to Computer Science/Computer Information Systems students only. Open lab ATC 208 will be available for all other students.

Health Information Technology Labs: ATC 233, 234

Hours posted on each door. 3M Coding Software, Transcribers and Cassettes

Lab available to Health Information Technology students only. Open lab ATC 208 will be available for all other students.

Math Lab: BH 113

Text the Math Lab at 832.400.9795.

To schedule a tutoring session:

1. Email mathlab@lee.edu at least two hours before desired appointment time.

• Include Student ID
• Date and Time for appointment
• Course and Subject matter to be covered

2. Students will receive an email with their assigned tutor’s name and a link to join the online tutoring session through Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.

• Ideally, student should have access to a computer device with a microphone and camera.
• Each session will be up to one hour long.

• Students may email quick reference questions with a picture (screen shot) to rarana@lee.edu for quick assistance if an appointment does not seem necessary.

The Lee College Math Lab provides free tutoring services to all students taking mathematics courses. We provide walk-in tutoring services, as well as private tutoring sessions (virtual or face-to-face). You will also find a variety of computer workstations, private study spaces, and limited free printing to all students. The Math Lab also provides textbook and calculator check-out services. Photography Lab and Studio: MHC W18

The photo lab has a studio with studio lights; a full, working black-and-white darkroom; and facilities for developing film and making both black-and-white and color prints.

Who may use the lab: Currently enrolled photography students.

Professional Office Technology Labs: ATC 314, 315, 319, 320

Hours posted on each door. Lab assistants are available during open lab hours. Microsoft Office 2007 Lab available to Professional Office Technology students only. Open lab ATC 208 will be available for all other students.

The Writing Center: BH 225

Call 281.425.6534 for hours. The college provides a writing lab staffed by paraprofessionals and peer tutors for students enrolled in all Lee College courses. Students may visit the lab for help with reading and writing assignments.
