Achieving the Dream (AtD) is a national initiative to help more community college students succeed. AtD is a leader in championing evidence-based institutional improvements, such as long-term, sustainable commitments to improving student success, achievement in closing gaps, momentum building, changing student lives, and helping neighborhoods flourish.
Achieving the Dream now leads the most comprehensive non-governmental reform movement for student success in higher education history. Together we are helping community college students have a better chance of realizing greater economic opportunity and achieving their dreams. Student success means so much more than a personal goal secured. It means improved skills, better employability, and economic growth for families, communities and our nation as a whole.
Each AtD institution focuses on closing achievement gaps and accelerating success among diverse student populations, low-income students and students of color. The goals of the initiative are to advance individual and system-wide strategies, ultimately providing measurable and sustainable outcomes for students and colleges alike.
